Friends and Family of LGBT

This peer-support group originated in Kobe, and has regular meetings in Tokyo, Nagoya, Kobe and Fukuoka. The group is similar to PFLAG in the United States, and the two organizations have close ties. Meetings are friendly and supportive, and individuals and families from all backgrounds are welcome to attend. Discussion is in Japanese so, if needed, it may be good to ask a Japanese speaking person to accompany you for language support, or contact the organizers to ask if any members might be able to help you. Okayama University Hospital's Gender Clinic
  • The Gender Clinic was the second facility in Japan to provide gender affirming surgery (SRS) in Japan.
  • Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT).
  • Provides social and other types of support.
