Social & Emotional Support for Diverse Japan​

Parents, young people, mental health professionals, teachers and all others are very warmly invited to a day of talks, panel discussions and workshops related to social and emotional support for multicultural / international children, young people and family. This conference will be an opportunity for people from a variety of backgrounds to make connections, share information and resources and talk about a range of topics. This will be an inclusive event, and wherever possible language support will be available.​

​The conference will have a range of panel and small group discussions, presentations and workshops related to, among others, the following topics:​
  • Emotional Wellbeing
  • Support for Social, Emotional and Mental Health Issues
  • Learning Differences
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Bullying & Cyberbullying
  • Health & Safety
  • Disability
  • LGBTQI-Related Topics
  • School-Related Topics
  • Cultural Identity
  • ​The conference is free of charge, but please register by March 31, 2018.
  • The venue has wheelchair access.
  • There will be English and Japanese interpreting for most of the sessions.
  • Please let us know when you register if you would like interpreting in another language.
  • Please let us know when you register if you would like child care.
  • Light refreshments will be provided. 
  • Lunch may be purchased at the venue, or you are welcome to bring your own.
  • A pizza dinner will follow for those who are interested.
